Care & Safety

Practice, gently.

This is a companion to care, not a replacement for it. Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice. Use these practices at your own pace and stop any time something does not feel right.

Before using binaural audio

Binaural beats create small shifts in brain rhythm. For most people this is subtle and pleasant, but they are not appropriate for everyone. Talk with a clinician before using them if any of the following apply:

  • You have a seizure disorder or a history of epilepsy.
  • You use a pacemaker or other electronic implant that can be affected by external signals.
  • You are pregnant.
  • You have a diagnosed inner-ear condition or unresolved tinnitus.
  • You are in an acute mental-health episode or actively working with a trauma specialist.

Trauma-sensitive guidance

Meditation and breathwork can bring stored emotion into awareness. This is not a malfunction — but it can be overwhelming if it arrives without warning.

Titrate. Start with five-minute sessions. Build up slowly. There is no medal for endurance here.

Keep one foot on the ground. If a visualization or breath pattern feels destabilizing, open your eyes, feel your feet on the floor, and return only when you want to.

Work with support. If your therapist allows it, use this app in collaboration with your therapist. Bring the journal entries. Bring the frequencies. They can help.

Signs to stop

End the session and remove your headphones if any of the following appear:

  • Dizziness or nausea
  • Sudden headache or ear pain
  • Panic or a sense of dread
  • Unwanted flashbacks or intrusive imagery
  • Numbness or dissociation
  • Any acute physical discomfort

If you need real support now

Your data

The journal is stored in your browser's local storage. It is not uploaded, shared, or analyzed. If you clear your browser data, the entries are gone with it. That is intentional — this is between you and the page.

No. Your entries are stored in your browser's local storage, so they stay on your device even after you close the tab, close the browser, or restart your computer. They will still be there the next time you open this site in the same browser.
