The Practice
The nervous system does not need more meditation. It needs meditation at the right hour. These four rituals mirror the daily arc of cortisol, melatonin, and vagal tone — short enough to keep, long enough to matter.
Orient before you open the phone
Wake the vagus nerve gently. Set an internal weather before the world sets one for you.
A reset between the meetings
Down-regulate a stacked morning. Return blood to the belly, attention to the room.
Come back into the body
Metabolize the day. Move stored charge out of the shoulders and jaw before dinner.
Fold the day into the dark
Cue melatonin. Slow the wave. Let the body forget it was ever a to-do list.
A note on consistency
Two rituals kept for a month will outrun ten rituals kept for a week. Choose the hour of day your body already asks for — start there.
