A meditation without integration is a rehearsal for a play that never opens. Journaling right after a session captures the felt sense while it is still warm — and helps the nervous system name what it just moved.
The science
James Pennebaker's decades of research show that short expressive writing sessions — even 15 minutes, a few times a week — lower cortisol, improve immune markers, and reduce depressive rumination.
The effect is strongest when writing is honest, unstructured, and not intended for anyone else's eyes.
Design principle
Each session ends with exactly three prompts: one for the body, one for the moment, one for the week ahead. Too few and integration is shallow; too many and it becomes performance.
Prompt structure
Sensory: where in the body does this sensation live?
Situational: what is this feeling actually about, right now?
Directional: what does the next small step look like?
Privacy
Journal entries are stored in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is analyzed, nothing is ever seen by anyone else. Clearing your browser data clears your entries.

If your therapist allows it, use this app in collaboration with them. Bring the journal entries. Bring the frequencies. They can help.
